Trans Asia Crash

Hi again fellow planespotters, airplane lovers and non lovers alike :), so obviously many of you have read the previous blog, if not find it HERE ! It will make reading this post easier. Now here's a most recent video that i know many of you have seen before : now let us look at what happened. Now reporters are saying that the aircraft stalled just after departure this would obviously mean that the aircraft was brought to a point where the plane's wings' couldn't provide a lifting force +/= the weight of the aircraft. Now we see close to impact the pilot, as a last minute decision carefully cleared the tall buildings, obviously an attempt to save lives.
The big problem here is how the left wing dipped now there could be several reasons for this, the propeller was feathered (pitch changed, check google for more info) or the left wing stalled differently to the left hence more drag caused it to roll over as we obviously couldn't see the top of the left wing to see if the left speedbrake was raised. But more lives couldv'e been saved if that left wing hadn't dipped. As more details come in i wil update tomorrow. Until then , keep your eyes skyward :D.

The Truth About Pilots Part 1

Now We've all been Reading the news lately and we have been hearing about more aviation incidences. Firstly, it's not that aviation related incidences are on a rise, but that more reporters and news companies are seeing it as a topic that will spur viewer interest. In addition to this, if you look at last year (2014)'s number of total aviation related incidents that were reported (NTSB,FAA etc) aviation related accidents are actually on a decline in comparison to previous years. It's just that the ones that are happening are receiving more publicity than in previous times. Now by now i am sure you have all heard of Malaysia airlines flight 370, flight 17 and of course the more recent Air Asia crashes. Now looking at these incidents you may think that more planes are crashing but that is not so.
One thing which is a topic of interest is First Officers. Constantly in the news reports of many recent crashes we are hearing, "THE COPILOT WAS UNABLE TO BRING THE PLANE DOWN" or "THE CAPTAIN PASSED OUT AND THE COPILOT COULDN'T FLY THE AIRCRAFT PROPERLY". The truth is, all copilots are adequately or more "qualified" , for a lack of words, to fly the aircraft, than the captain. In come cases the copilot may have one hour less than the Captain as for the majority of the time the captain is the one with the most hours of the two. Hence, it is not accurate to say that the copilot wasn't qualified to fly the plane, or that he wasn't able to fly it properly.
I do hope that these short words assist you in the understanding of Aviation and everything aviation elated as there are many views out there which may be or are seriously inaccurate.

Thanks for reading, and please share this with fellow friends whether they may be interested in aviation or not. Untill tomorow!
